this instruction could result in an accident. WARNING
The risk of accidents is high when tow-
st ar ting, f

or example, the towed vehicle
can easily be driven into the towing vehicle. CAUTION
If there is no oil in the gearbox or no lubri-
cant in the automatic tr ansmission the car
may only be t

owed with the driven wheels
lifted clear of the road, or transported on a
special car transporter or trailer. CAUTION
Do not tow a vehicle for more than 50 m in
attempt t o st

art it. There is risk of damage
to the catalytic converter. Note

Lights and visibility
WARNING
Closing the sunroof without the anti-trap
function can cause serious injuries.

Operation
If your vehicle breaks down:
1. Park your vehicle at a safe distance from mo ving tr
affic.
2.
Press the button to switch on the hazard
warning lights

Start and driving
vehicle to a specialised workshop as soon as
possibl e
.
If ther
e is a fault in the ABS, the ESC* and the
tyre pressure control lamp will also light up.
Brake system fault
If the ABS warning lamp  lights up together with the brake warning lamp , there is a
fault in the ABS function and in the brake sys-
tem

Have the engine check ed by a specialised w
orkshop
as soon as possible.
The warning lamp  (Electronic P
ower Control)
lights up when the ignition is switched on while sys-
tem operation is being verified. It should go out once
the engine is started. 

The engine can be started straight away when the
lamp switches off. 
